Home Health Aide (HHA)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Provide catheter care and assist with other medical needs as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting their mental well-being.
• Assist with mobility and transportation for patients as needed.
• Support hospice care initiatives by providing compassionate end-of-life care when required.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive home community care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in home care or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is essential.
• Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing signs that require attention.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary needs is advantageous.
• Experience with catheter care is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following established protocols.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
