Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their overall well-being.
- Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Help clients with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring them safely as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure that clients follow their prescribed health regimens.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with lifting and assisting clients safely.
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems is a plus.
