What are the responsibilities and job description for the eCommerce Director - Women's, Lifestyle & Homes position at Future?
We're looking for someone to lead the eCommerce team in the Women's, Lifestyle & Homes vertical to drive the growth of eCommerce affiliate revenues.
This role will form a crucial part of the Future eCommerce leadership team. Reporting to Simon Rawle (VP of eCommerce).
What You'll Be Doing...
This role will own, develop and drive the eCommerce trading, analysis and strategic support function on our Women's Lifestyle and Homes online properties.

What You'll Be Doing...
This role will own, develop and drive the eCommerce trading, analysis and strategic support function on our Women's Lifestyle and Homes online properties.
- Leading the Trading & merchandising function to understand and drive the performance of our content across core WL&H categories, channels & brands. Set, improve and drive the adoption of best practice for commerce content, working closely with our editorial teams
- Working alongside eCommerce leadership, trading analysts and content teams to exceed budget targets and build sustainable, diversified affiliate revenues
- Developing our Affiliate partnerships, building strong brand retailer and network relationships whilst supporting commercial peers in securing affiliate-led advertising revenues
- Partnering with editorial leadership and online edit teams to devise, implement and action successful commerce focussed strategies with an audience-first bias
- Driving platform initiatives alongside product leads to deliver best in class online shopping experiences for users
- Influencing at executive leadership team level, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, across the matrix organization to successfully grow eCommerce and the wider organization
- Proven ability to transform complex eCommerce funnel data, including website traffic and purchase trends, into compelling narratives that not only enhance our content strategy but also provide valuable, data-driven insights for our advertising partners, driving engagement and revenue growth
- Experience at a senior level within the Fashion and/or Homes verticals, preferably within a publishing environment.
- Experience and proven track record of leading a content monetisation strategy for online fashion, beauty or homes categories.
- Strong commercial mindset - able to spot opportunities to quickly deliver value and execute against these. Ideally experienced in the affiliate space and with a strong track record of value creation
- Operationally adept at delivering change across functions, with strong project management skills and the ability to be strategic and relentless detail focussed in tandem
- Analytically minded with a data driven mindset - striking the right balance between data-led decisions and taking calculated risks in a world of permanently imperfect information
- Strong ability to influence at all levels and across functions, ideally with experience of matric working
- A pacey, energetic and engaging leader, capable of inspiring their team and the wider organisation. Collaborative and low ego
- Established relationships with marketing leads at leading Fashion, Beauty and homeware brands desirable but not essential.
