Job Summary
The Finance Associate supports the financial management and operational activities of the finance department. This role involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports, managing accounting operations, and supporting budget and forecasting activities. The Finance Associate works closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Provide FP&A finance support related to group reporting in a timely manner.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in corporate finance/accounting or another similar field.
- Bilingual in Korean/English required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- CPA or other qualifications preferred
- Accounting firm experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
