Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a food production facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, a passion for team development, and the ability to maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including spare parts inventory and cost control measures.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support process improvements and capital projects.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
- Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders, downtime, and equipment efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
>10 years of maintenance experience in food production (meat, dairy, bakery, or other food processing preferred).
>Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
>Experience leading and developing maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
>Proficiency in CMMS, reliability programs, and root cause analysis.
>Strong understanding of food safety standards (USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP).
>Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-effective maintenance strategies.
>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
