Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee restaurant construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction management, with a proven track record in managing restaurant builds. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a keen understanding of the unique requirements associated with restaurant construction.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets specific to restaurant construction projects.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
- Oversee and direct construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors, field personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve project goals.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiations.
- Track project expenses and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
Problem Solving and Risk Management:
- Identify and address potential project risks and issues proactively.
- Implement corrective actions and solutions to mitigate risks and resolve project challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction management, with a focus on restaurant or hospitality projects.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex, fast-paced project environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized project management organization (e.g., PMP, CCM).
- Experience with sustainable or LEED-certified restaurant projects and experience with PROCORE
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations specific to the restaurant industry.
