Job Description:
We seek a skilled Horizontal Drill Operator to join our fiber optics division. The ideal candidate will have experience operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install fiber optic cables underground. This role is essential in ensuring the successful and efficient installation of our fiber optic network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment safely and efficiently.
- Install and maintain fiber optic cables underground.
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HDD equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure timely project completion.
- Document and report daily work activities and progress.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Horizontal Drill Operator or similar role.
- Knowledge of HDD equipment and fiber optic cable installation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
