Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain patient records accurately using electronic health record systems; experience with Prompt EMR is a plus
- Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient files.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing patient forms.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication.
- Handle medical coding tasks as needed to ensure accurate billing processes.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Skills
- Proficient at handling incoming calls, phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Strong clerical abilities with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Experience in a health, wellness or medical setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical insurance verification principles is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Comfortable with computers, ability to handle uploading and downloading files as well as navigating email
- Competent phone skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare professionals.
