At Johnstone Supply - The Founder's Group, we’re looking for a Senior Network and Platforms Administrator who’s passionate about supporting internal and external customers and growing with a well-established business!
PRIMARY PURPOSE -
Contributes to company sales growth and profitability by ensuring the information systems are secure, reliable and perform to expectations in order to support company operations, thus allowing staff to provide exceptional customer service.
SCHEDULE -
Monday - Friday between 7:00am - 4:00pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
Server Administration Results and Responsibilities:
- Monitors and maintains Windows and Linux server systems, both stand-alone and virtual (Hyper-V), to ensure performance, availability and security.
- Updates existing server hardware, firmware and software.
- Researches, recommends and installs new servers to meet business goals.
- Design and engineer migration from On-Prem to Cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Create and maintain detailed server documentation.
- Scripting (Powershell, JSON)
Network Administration Results and Responsibilities:
- Monitors and maintains network systems (routers, switches, firewalls, wifi,, VPN and cabling) to ensure performance, availability and security.
- Monitors and manages voice/data services, initiates trouble tickets with providers.
- Researches, recommends and installs purchases new network gear servers to meet business goals.
- Upgrades and maintains network equipment.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation.
System User Support Results and Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming emails, telephone calls and greets system users who walk into the IS department. Handles multiple users and user requests simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and professional manner.
- Assists system users with issues that occur on the voice and data systems by asking questions and actively listening to identify the cause of the issue.
- Provides user assistance and training with applications and systems.
- Researches and provides solutions for user issues with the voice and data systems.
- Follows up promptly on all user requests for assistance. Proactively communicates with users about the status of their issue.
- Develops good working relationships and rapport with users.
- Provides local and remote user support (occasional overnight travel).
Helpdesk Results and Responsibilities:
- Provides secondary Helpdesk coverage for the System Administrator, manages Information Systems Helpdesk. Documents requests from multiple sources. General Results Responsibilities
- Monitors, maintains, updates and administers phone systems (PBX). Work is remote and local (occasional overnight travel).
- Monitors and maintains Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Monitors and maintains ERP servers (database and client), ERP processes and queues.
- Is organized and orderly maintaining appropriate records.
- Contribute to establishing company standards and procedures, creates and maintains documentation.
- Coordinates with vendors in the purchase, maintenance and operation of systems.
- Researches and presents options to management to meet business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS –
Education and Experience:
- Required: Associate degree in a related field, and a minimum of four years related experience.
