Excavation Foreman Job Description
G.A. Peak Excavating, Inc. is seeking an experienced Excavation Foreman in the Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Lehigh County areas. The Excavation Foreman is expected to use his/her experience to work alongside, lead and train crews to accomplish project successfully in a safe manner in accordance with contract and company programs and requirements, and facilitate projects by communicating with the field personnel, senior project management, and general contractors. This position requires travel on various jobsites and locations.

- Excavation Foreman Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret site-specific safety plans; may be amended daily.
- Operate heavy equipment or drive trucks and minimize wear and abuse.
- Lead & Train new or less-skilled crew members on new tasks
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Also keep and maintain a clean worksite.
- Drives/operates grader, excavator, loader, broom, tractor, dozer, dirt roller, pay hauler, asphalt roller and/or paver.
- Performs and records daily inspection of equipment as directed by equipment maintenance department. Maintain clean interior and exterior and communicate with shop on any issues/repair needs
- Hold periodic meetings with crew members, define roles and attend turnover meetings
- Plan ahead, set goals, organize tools, truck and job trailer
- Insure materials are onsite for next tasks/project, in advance ie: truck, material, equipment, manpower
- Daily input of completed tasks and insure production targets are being met
- Snow Removal
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience:
- REQUIRED - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- REQUIRED - Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- REQUIRED - Reliable transportation to and from work.
- REQUIRED - Must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment screening for controlled substances in accordance with DOT regulations.
