G.A. Rogers & Associates has partnered with an Irving, Texas based client in search of a dynamic payroll leader to join their growing team!
This position will lead the processing of payroll (~2000 multi-state employees) and also overlap Accounts Payable.
This is a hybrid role offering a long-term career path within a passionate non-profit organization.
Base Compensation Range: $100,000-$150,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and HR and Benefits to manage payroll.
- Lead semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accurate timecard reviews and wage calculations.
- Organize meetings to review and approve payroll details before finalizing.
- Oversee tax withholdings and W-2 production, summarizing earnings and deductions.
- Manage bonus processing and verify deferred compensation.
- Work with partners to meet payroll deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and design efficient systems using our payroll software.
- Foster a supportive workplace culture focused on quality and teamwork.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable teams for timely vendor payments and the posting of receivables.
- Be a go-to resource for payroll questions and help resolve any payroll issues.
- Suggest and implement improvements to payroll procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related degree required
- Payroll Professional (CPP)
- At least ten years of payroll experience, with five years in a managerial role; shared services experience is a plus (overlapping transactional accounting)
- Familiarity with Workday
- Excellent communication skills to guide colleagues through payroll processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
