G. A. West is seeking a qualified candidate to work as an Executive Assistant at our main office location in Creola, Alabama. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity. The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other Executive Committee members. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive level support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversees special projects. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a diversity of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
- Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion, especially decisions directly impacting the operations of the company.
- Sustain a complex daily calendar of meetings and events, resolving time constraint issues as they arise.
- Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects and other documents in support of objectives for the organization.
- Arrange logistics such as travel, dining, and accommodations as requested.
- Draft and prepare correspondence for internal announcements, board meetings, and organizations that the executive is involved with.
- Review documents for grammatical errors and correct as needed.
- Reading, researching, collecting and analyzing information as needed for special projects.
- Help maintain and refine internal processes by periodically reviewing and updating standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong interpersonal foundation and skills including high emotional intelligence and ethics
- Excellent organizational and written skills, to include the ability to use the various components of Office 365, in addition to MS Visio, and Power Point
- Fast and accurate typing and note taking
- Ability to set up and coordinate Teams, Zoom and other interactive remote meetings and presentations
- Clear, concise, and professional verbal communicator, able to effectively collaborate while working under pressure and tight timelines
- Professionalism and attention to detail is a must
- Multitasking and unexpected redirection is expected
- Ability to work on extremely confidential projects and processes while remaining discrete
- B.S. in English, Business or similar degree is required.
- 5 years of experience is preferred but G.A. West & Co is willing to train successful applicant
