Responsibilities
- Lead in promoting company safety culture
- Monitor all safety issues and concerns, and ensure standards of safety are adhered to
- Verify all work is performed in compliance with company EH&S program and contract safety specifications
- Assist in the monitoring of subcontractor safety performance
- Conduct regular jobsite and work area inspections, noting safety violations and corrective actions
- Thoroughly investigate all incidents (including near miss, injury, property damage, general liability) immediately and perform root cause analysis
- Perform risk assessments and develop safety protocols
- Lead safety trainings and meetings
- Prepare and submit JSAs, investigative reports, reprimands, etc.
- Assist project teams in identifying hazards and implementing controls
- Immediately address safety violations at job site(s)
- Assist Project Superintendents in establishing, implementing, and monitoring jobsite emergency action plans.
- Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to obtain and manage required safety documents, signage, and equipment for all assigned job sites
- Verify all workers have the necessary training for the tasks they are performing.
- Other related duties as assigned
- Degree in Occupational Safety and Health and 5 years of experience is preferred. A combination of knowledge and field experience will be considered.
- Must have an OSHA 30
- Must be willing to travel
- Per-diem is available for those who qualify.
