Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Optician/Optical Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in optical sales, a strong understanding of eye care services, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense, adjust, and repair eyeglass frames to ensure proper fit and comfort for patients.
- Review and interpret optometrist's/MD's prescriptions to provide accurate recommendations.
- Operate manual lensometers and other tools to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on corrective lens options, considering their medical needs and lifestyle preferences.
- Provide honest and compassionate feedback on aesthetic choices in frame selection.
- Meet sales goals and quotas while prioritizing patients' specific needs and desires.
- Work with the Regional Optical Manager to maintain inventory levels and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED, required.
- Associate's degree, preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in optical sales, required.
- Optician license in Florida, preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Caring, helpful, and professional demeanor and appearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills.
