G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food with two locations: our corporate office in Syracuse, NY, and a new additional facility in Alachua, FL. Our customer base includes Foodservice distributors, Retailers, Processors, Traders, and Exporters. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across the United States and internationally.
In recent years, G&C Foods has grown to be one of the most respected redistributors in the United States. We are rapidly expanding all areas of our organization.
G&C Foods is currently looking for a professional and dynamic HR Onboarding Partner located in our New Facility in Alachua, FL. This position will directly report to the Talent Acquisition Manager. Your onboarding process will consist of approximately 3-5 months of training, including time spent in our Syracuse office, working remotely, and at our Alachua facility.

Job Summary:
The Onboarding Partner position will represent the company while performing a variety of HR tasks including Recruiting, Onboarding, and maintaining accurate date in the HRIS systems.
Critical to this position is a motivated, detail oriented, self-driven team player. The ability to multitask and change priorities is crucial as the Human Resource department is a fast-paced environment with many initiatives taking place simultaneously. Human Resources is a service organization and as such, representatives must have patience and flexibility to address personnel issues as they arise and treat all employees in a warm, friendly, and accommodating manner.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate for this position must also be a comfortable presenting to a small/medium sized group of employees.
- Full Lifecycle of Recruiting: Reviewing applications, screen candidates, coordinating phone calls, video and in person interviews for our Operational Staff. Assistance with creating agendas, arranging travel, and coordinating appropriately with all involved, ensuring all paperwork is collected, communicating with applicants throughout the recruiting process.
- Onboarding: Including initiating applicable background checks, and medical testing, entering data into the HRIS System, creating first day/week agendas, answering any questions the new hire has, coordinating with the others to ensure a great onboarding experience, working with the hiring managers to ensure they receive any support needed, following up with new hires post-start, and more in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Orientation: Administer and conduct weekly or bi-weekly company orientations, including company culture, state and federal documentation requirements, and handbook policy orientation. Ensuring internal electronic and physical bulletin boards are up to date regarding all onboarding of new employees, updates of candidate pipeline and other information/data requested.
Other Specific Tasks:
- Ownership of FLSA classification and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team with employees at all levels
- Lead and promote diversity recruitment efforts
- Timely response/resolution of employee concerns when dealing with a wide range of employee concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of critical information/data
- Works under moderate supervision and oversight
- Employee Offer Letters, Exit Interviews, and other communications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of Federal and multi-state HR laws and DOL procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: relationship building, enthusiasm, and ability to lean into challenging situations
- Must be diplomatic and proactive in keeping recruiting and onboarding efforts moving forward
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are critical
- Strong computer skills, including ADP Workforce, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Florida State Labor Laws.
- Associate degree in related field required
- Application tracking and HRIS Experience required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- 3 years' experience in HR for a medium sized company required
- 3-5 years' experience in recruiting required
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
- Bilingual preference

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
