Looking for happy positive individuals who can wear multiple hats for a sweet young lady - a caregiver, a personal assistance, a companion and most importantly a friend
She is a young adult with autism and epilepsy. She loves living independently with support with her circle of friend and family. She is looking a someone who is kind and patient to keep her in routine and safe as a friend. This job is for people who has experience with Developmentally delayed individuals. Punctuality is very important as she will be depending on you for her daily activities.
Little about her:
She has great taste in music and people. She enjoys her swim class and singing and playing pianos. She also likes to watch Disney movies and YouTube. She often takes walks in town. She participates in various classes and community activities when she is physically able.
She uses various communication method. Like gestures, facial movement, PEGs, and Sign and simple words greetings. (You don't need to know all - we can learn together. )
Key duties include:
- assisting her with daily activities (dressing, eating, showering, swimming, walking and so on),
- preparing and assisting meals,
- administering seizure medications,
- helping improve her communication skill,
- light housekeeping and documentation.
- Seizure monitoring and Support in emergency - following protocol.
***********MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE the Protocol for Seizure and physically able to assist.
- good work ethic is required.
- You must have a valid driver's license and ID.
- Prefers a physically active and dependable person
