About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to help maintain a well-organized and welcoming home environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking skills, enjoy cleaning and organizing, and be proactive in running household errands.
Key Responsibilities
- Cooking & Meal Prep – Follow recipes to prepare meals and assist with food prep as needed.
- Cleaning & Organization – Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the home, including general tidying, dusting, and laundry.
- Guest Room Changeovers – Ensure guest rooms are refreshed and ready, including bed changes and light cleaning.
- Shopping & Errands – Handle grocery shopping, mail pickup, household supply runs, and other errands as needed.
Skills & Qualities
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals confidently.
- Strong cleaning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Quick learner (only needs to be told how to do something once or twice)
- Willingness to receive feedback and do things in the specific way (ex: folding laundry or organizing in a certain way)
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Trustworthy and respectful of privacy.
- Light computer skills are a nice to have (scanning, making checklists, etc)
Requirements
- Prior experience in household assistance, housekeeping, or similar roles preferred.
- Reliable transportation for errands and shopping.
- Availability for 3-4 mornings per week, with flexibility to take on additional hours during events.
