The Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver plays a critical role in the daily operations of our cannabis distribution network. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of cannabis products, including order picking, packing, and the timely delivery of products to dispensaries and transfers between distribution hubs in SoCal and NorCal. Compliance with state regulations, company policies, and safety protocols is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming cannabis inventory against manifests, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery to dispensaries according to daily schedules.
- Conduct inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies with management.
- Ensure cannabis products are stored in compliance with state regulations, including proper labeling and secure storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) safely and responsibly.
- Load and secure cannabis products in company vehicles for delivery.
- Deliver orders to dispensaries and transfer products between distribution hubs in a timely and compliant manner.
- Ensure proper handling and temperature control of cannabis products during transport.
- Accurately complete all required delivery documentation, including manifests and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispensary staff and company operations teams to address any issues during delivery.
- Follow all local and state cannabis transportation regulations, including vehicle inspections and secure transport protocols.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations governing the distribution of cannabis
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations is a plus (training provided)
- Effective listening to apply instructions from the manager.
- Ability to work in the conditions of your warehouse, which may be hot, cold or noisy
Working Environment
- Operations: This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled?temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, moving?mechanical parts, and working in proximity with staff and vendors.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Requires travel to different dispensaries and locations throughout assigned area, particularly?during peak times.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities, not hours; must be able to work?weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Ability to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check?with the local law enforcement or City Police Department.
- Long hours in a delivery vehicle, driving in varying weather and traffic conditions
- The role primarily involves time spent driving delivery routes, as well as time in the distribution center supporting warehouse operations.
- May occasionally encounter varying weather conditions during delivery routes.
