Pricing Analyst

Summary:

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for all pricing and rating activity for the transportation division of G&D Integrated. This position will be proficient in various customer bid platforms (Coupa, E2open, Keelvar, etc.). Candidate will be able to correspond directly with customers for those who do not use platforms when new rates are needed or ready for renewal. Candidate will understand how to create and manage rate sheets, fuel, workflow processes through the use of Truckmate and other platforms.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage emails (along with the other members of the pricing team) and phone calls regarding rates and pricing questions.
• Used established tools to create rates and understand assumptions and variables that are required to generate a sufficient rate to garner the correct revenue for the transport move.
• Provide financial modeling, analysis and interpretation helping to support strategic price positioning, identify margin enhancement opportunities, and provide margin impact analysis for proposed pricing strategies.
• Identifies, track and update Key Performance Indicators relevant to the pricing impact and profitability to drive performance measurement and accountability
• Work with Planning Managers, Sales staff and the Transportation Pricing Manager to understand needs when customer lane opportunities are presented to the Pricing Department.
• Capable of learning and understanding different computer based tools including transportation management software, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, both internal and external web based portals.
• Business manager mindset with drive for continuous improvement with very strong analytical and modeling skills.
• Be very organized and deadline driven.
• Capable of learning how to audit rating issues and fuel issues in Truckmate.
• Use of Excel to analyze YoY rates, awarded volumes, market data using functions, pivot tables, graphs if needed.
• Work with Transportation Pricing Manager on understanding how various customer required documents could impact our operation before bidding on customer volume.
• Builds strong cross-functional relationships that facilitate agile pricing decisions to increase opportunity win percentage.
• Responsible for creating and managing internal rate sheets in Truckmate
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred that includes training in data analysis and Excel.
• High school diploma with 1 year related experience or training in an analytical role is acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Shift and Hours: 1st Shift | 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $40K - $55K/YR
