Accounting Payroll Intern

Position Summary  To serve our internal customers by the daily auditing and balancing of all inventory and invoiced dollar amounts to ensure that all inventory and invoice amounts are accurate and accounted for according to established company standards.    Essential Functions Balances daily sales paperwork before closing to ensure that daily financials and inventory are accurate according to established company standards; audits and settles all Express route paperwork.  Builds daily downloads for driver and route salesperson handheld computers ; ensures data is accurate for each route and works with personnel at each location to ensure that handhelds are updated and ready for all employees.  Assists cashier in auditing paperwork and money during daily settlement process.  Keys intercompany invoicing for products transferred to other locations.  Responsible for backfilling the Sales Control Auditor job duties and the Cashier position to cover for vacation and other leaves from work.  Communicates with other employees regarding requests for information; supervisor and management team regarding and problems or issues. Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, Federal/State/Local Laws).  Completes time off requests, daily charges log, price override reports, Intercompany Express Invoicing Reports and other required paperwork according to established standards.  Tracks missing Direct Store Delivery (DSD) documents; scans all DSDs received.  Completes data entry of gratis invoices; corrects invoicing error and delivery routing.  Maintains confidentiality of financial information, pricing, customer information, invoices, deposits, and other sensitive and confidential information.  Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.   Education  High School or GED required.   Experience  1 - 3 years   Computer Skills  Proficiency in MS Office Suite, VIP.    Other Requirements  1-3 years of previous cashier, sales audit, settlement or other closely related experience.
