Maintenance Clerk

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring for a temporary Maintenance Clerk. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods!

Our Maintenance Clerk is reliable team member responsible for

• Receive part deliveries, ensuring all items match the packing slips, document delivery, and communicate receipt of parts to maintenance parts coordinator
• Unbox and inspect parts for damage or discrepancies, report any issues to the maintenance parts coordinator
• Label parts for proper identification and categorize them for stock
• Place labeled parts on shelves in an organized manner to ensure quick access
• Perform inventory counts as needed to ensure accurate stock levels and assist in reconciling discrepancies
• Gather required part information (e.g., part numbers, descriptions) to be input into the inventory management system.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area, ensuring parts, tools, and supplies are properly stored and easy to locate
• Drive to complete local pickups of parts or drop offs as needed

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity of mechanic parts required
• Previous inventory management of mechanical parts required
• Valid driver's license required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently lift, carry, and move up to thirty (30) pounds
• Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Shift Times:

• 1st shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm
• Opportunity for overtime as needed
• Position is temporary with an expected duration of 4 months
