Job Description
Production Control & Material Control (PC/MC) Coordinator, working under the PC/MC and Logistic Manager, plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external teams and external customers. This position is responsible for analyzing and coordinating customer requirements through accurate forecasting, efficient inventory management, and proactive lead time oversights. The goal is to ensure on-time delivery and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do…
- Partnership Development: Build, strengthen and sustain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Customer Account Management: Deliver expert-level support and oversight for assigned customer accounts, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor finished goods inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking. Implement just-in-time (JIT) or lean inventory strategies to reduce carrying costs while maintaining production flow.
- Process Improvement Implementation: Assist in implementing best practices and continuous improvements in systems and processes that impact inventory, production, manpower planning, purchasing, material control, and scheduling.
- Customer Communication: Collaborates with customers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve potential supply chain risks.
- Inventory Discrepancy Resolutions: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist team’s roles, responsibilities, and assigned customer(s) as needed.
**Note – This is a full-time, in-person role, standard work hours 8am – 5pm.
Qualifications
You’ll have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other related field.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, production control and material control processes.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Negotiation skills
- The ability to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- The ability to draft routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.
Even better, you may have…
- 2-5 years’ experience in Production Control and/or Material Control.
- Basic knowledge of TS16949 quality and ISO 14001 environmental system requirements.
- Experience in manufacturing environment, automotive
