Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
1. Keep machines running at all times by providing proper parts for job orders, packaging materials, fixturing and any other requested items.
2. Lift truck operation. Proper daily and weekly lift truck maintenance.
3. Maintain stock on fluids rack, report any possible shortages of stock.
4. Assist in machine and building maintenance.
5. Maintain clean hand towels.
6. Clean work areas,(mop, sweep) machines, and equipment including parts washers.
7. Maintaining proper levels and concentration of parts washer fluids.
8. Grounds maintenance (cleaning garbage, shoveling snow, etc).
9. Keep dunnage area clean and organized.
10. Clean out mop buckets as needed.
11. May package, stack, assemble, disassemble, bundle or band materials or dunnage using appropriate tools.
12. May performs cycle counting as requested.
13. May perform year-end physical inventory.
14. Unloading of hoppers into specified dumpsters.
15. Assist in Shipping/Receiving as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in materials handling techniques within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively.
High School diploma or GED. Ability to clearly communicate with employees, peers and management. Well organized, self starter, ability to plan, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment. Physical demands may require heavy lifting up to fifty (50) pounds by hand or by hoist. Displays team player qualities, outgoing personality and ability to give useful feedback.
Six (6) months experience with forklift operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.70 - $24.15 per hour
