Director of Global Learning & Development Strategy

The Director of Global Learning & Development is pivotal in shaping the future of our organization by designing and implementing innovative learning and development strategies. This role is essential in supporting our global objectives, focusing on both technical and leadership training. As a leader, you will oversee a dynamic team of learning professionals, manage impactful global training programs, and drive initiatives that enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness globally.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership :

Create and implement a global learning and development strategy that aligns with our business goals and culture.

  • Develop engaging learning programs that foster employee engagement, retention, and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify critical learning priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Program Development and Training Delivery :
  • Lead the design and deployment of global training initiatives, including leadership development, technical training, and compliance training.

  • Utilize diverse training methods such as in-person workshops, online courses, and blended learning approaches.
  • Ensure that programs are culturally relevant and accessible to our diverse global workforce.
  • Leverage advanced learning technologies, including an LMS, to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
  • Incorporate engaging training methods like simulations, gamification, and virtual reality.
  • Performance Measurement and Improvement :
  • Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.

  • Establish evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and measure ROI, using insights to enhance learning initiatives.
  • Report learning outcomes to senior leadership regularly.
  • Global Coordination and Collaboration :
  • Partner with regional HR leaders and business units for consistent program delivery and implementation.

  • Build relationships with external partners, such as training vendors and consultants, to enrich program offerings.
  • Team Management :
  • Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, offering guidance and opportunities for growth.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team and organization.
  • Compliance and Best Practices :
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for all learning programs across regions.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development.
  • Regularly review training materials to maintain their relevance and effectiveness.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning throughout the organization.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing global learning strategies and programs.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience in facilitating training for diverse audiences, ranging from 10 to 300 participants.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
  • Experience in digital transformation and integrating new learning technologies.

  • What We Offer :

    Typical pay ranges from $128,700 to $170,500 annually. Please note that compensation is based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

    This position is eligible for our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.

    Salary : $128,700 - $170,500
