Bag Runner- RDU Airport

G2 Secure Staff is expanding and looking to add to the Bag Runner operations in Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

Title: Bag Runner

Pay Rate: $13.00-$13.00 per hour

Shift: Vary

The Bag Runner is responsible for assisting in the handling and transportation of baggage as needed by Supervisor(s). This position will require constant heavy lifting of passengers luggage.

What does a Bag Runner do?

• Handle and transport baggage as needed by supervisor
• Perform heavy lifting of passenger’s baggage
• Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Place luggage onto the conveyer belt and spacing out luggage to prevent luggage jams on the conveyor belt
• Safely transport oversized passenger luggage from the ticket counter to TSA for screening and processing
• Example of some oversize luggage may include, but not limited to, skis, pet kennels, musical instruments, audio/visual equipment, medical equipment, medical devices, and strollers
• Adhere to all airport and government policies and regulations

What skills are required to Join the Team?

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successfully completing a background check and ten-year work history.
• Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions as it relates to the role.
• All applicants must consent to and pass a drug test as part of a conditional job offer. -REQUIRED.

Language Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks
• Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills
