Ramp Agent- PWM Jetport (PWM)

G2 Secure Staff is expanding and looking to add to the Ramp Agent operations in Portland International Jetport

Job Title: Ramp Agent

Payrate: $18.00 per hour. This position has the potential to increase .50 cent at 6 months and 12 months

Schedule: 4am-2pm / 7am-3pm / 10am-6pm / 3pm-11pm

The Ramp Agent provides ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft, including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning aircraft interiors.

What does a Ramp Agent do?

· Handling and caring for passenger baggage. Loading, unloading, transportation to and from various locations of the airport

· Handling and care of U.S. Mail, freight, and express parcels. Loading, unloading, transportation to and from various locations of the airport

· The customer and G2 specification must accomplish all ground handling

· Pushing or towing aircraft to and from designated locations in the airport

· Provide technical guidance, interpret policies and procedures, and assist front-line employees in performing functional tasks

· Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

· Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities

· Miscellaneous duties as assigned

What skills are required to Join the Team?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successfully completing a background check and ten-year work history.
• Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation

Language Skills:

· Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks

· Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public

· Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills
