Director of Information Technology
We are looking for an IT Director to join our team. This is a key position which is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department including infrastructure, network administration, telecommunications, security, and helpdesk functions. The individual must possess the technical skillset required for this job, attention to detail, proven track record in managing a team, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The individual should be comfortable working with team members across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
- Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning
- Conduct regular system audits and regular checks on network and data security
- Daily management of the Helpdesk insuring responsiveness and prioritization of work
- Oversee the operation of server systems
- Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
- Manage IT vendors that supporting IT infrastructure technologies
- Develop and manage company emergency action plan in terms of equipment and information storage
- Continuously develop the IT team technical skill set to improve IT team's ability to respond to and support company growth.
- Manage the department budget and company equipment budget
- Actively participate in long term strategy decisions relating to IT
- Project future equipment needs based on open positions and company growth
- Complete Customer Security Assessments
- Complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual HIPAA compliance tasks
- Drive the HITRUST Re-Certification process
- Implement processes to document SOPs on systems implementations and controls. Secure/store process/SOPs in house and share information with department peers and executives.
Required Skills/Abilities/Certifications:
- Network , Security , Linux , and/or MCSA certifications
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, servers, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
- Must be capable of handling the technical as well as managerial aspects of position
- Proven track record of managing a team and developing processes
- Working knowledge of Remote VPN software and Microsoft Office
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or another related field with advanced course experience in mathematics, computer programming, and software development
- 7 years' management experience in an IT environment
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred, Healthcare industry experience a plus
- Experience in firewall, routing and switching technologies and platforms Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is highly desirable
- Experience with HIPAA Compliance is required
