Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Certified Surgical First Assist - FT- Days - Outpatient Surgery Center - St. Mary's Hospital - Athens, GA NO CALLS* NO WEEKENDS or NO NIGHTS* Position Purpose: The Certified First Assist will work in the Outpatient Surgery Center at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA What you will do: A clinically competent first assist, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during the intraoperative period. Included within this assignment is the responsibility for assisting with preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital. What you will need: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess a current First Asst/CST license and BLS certification. Education: High School graduate, graduate of an accredited school or Surgical Technology program. Must have CSFA certification. Experience: Minimum of one year current operating room experience (student experience allowed). Possesses a service mentality, should possess the ability to understand and react effectively to the unique needs and care for all patient populations. (i.e. neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics). Position Purpose: The Clinical Tech will work in Rehab Dept within St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA. What you will do: The Clinical Technician works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the clinical tech include assessing and providing basic patient care needs while maintaining patient care standards. The clinical technician should be self-motivated and able to function as a member of a health care team. What you will need: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS certification required. Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent. A student in a medical field program may be hired into a clinical technician position. Experience: Hospital or Clinical experience preferred Special Qualifications: Computer skills required.
