Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and records for our clinical research site. The ideal candidate will oversee study budgets, sponsor payments, site expenses, and financial reporting to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Track and reconcile sponsor payments, study budgets, and investigator fees to ensure proper allocation of funds.
- Generate and submit invoices to sponsors and CROs based on study milestones and contract terms.
- Process vendor payments, investigator/staff stipends, and patient reimbursements in a timely manner.
- Work closely with study coordinators and site management to monitor study-related expenses.
- Prepare monthly financial reports on study revenue, expenses, and outstanding payments.
- Ensure compliance with clinical trial contracts, site agreements, and financial regulations.
- Support site leadership during audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and research-related data.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a clinical research site, healthcare, or private-sector setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial contracts, sponsor invoicing, and financial compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple study budgets simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for working with sponsors, site leadership, and vendors.
