What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Data Entry Staff position at Gabrail Cancer Center Research?
This is a full time entry level position with a growing community oncology research practice in Canton, Ohio. Must be able to relocate to the area.
Physicians who graduated from foreign medical schools are encouraged to seek a potentially satisfying career in clinical research. The CRC/CRA works in collaboration with the research team to coordinate assigned clinical research studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and federal regulations. This position performs day to day activities related to clinical research studies including (but not limited to): recruit and screen participants, obtains informed consent, educate participants regarding study requirements, adverse event reporting, and complete case report forms in numerous EDC systems. As well as scheduling and working with pharmaceutical clinical staff. This position requires an expert level of understanding to the ability to perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision in a range of different types of oncology and phase 1 healthy clinical studies.
- Enter medical records from chart to Electronic Data Capture (EDC) database
- Constantly keep accurate case histories of patients and keep databases up to date
- Problem-solve
- Schedule appointments with Pharmaceutical/Clinical Study personnel
- Send and reply to emails via Microsoft Outlook
- Comply with HIPAA policies and other confidentiality rules
- Ability to Multi-task and adhere strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Prep and clean work area (take out trash, etc,)
- Maintain patient records and sponsor databases to be in compliance with FDA regulations
- File electronic records in patient charts
- Comfortable sitting and working on computer for extended hours
