The Manager of Software Development is responsible for the organization’s custom software development, business systems continuous improvement, health, performance, and uptime. The position is responsible for implementing new software systems and deploying new features and functions on the existing systems to solve business problems and accomplish business objectives laid out in annual/quarterly goals.

What You Do
- Builds strong software development team that may include offshore, onshore and contract team members, to perform business analysis, implement code, ensure quality assurance of software systems and document systems.
- Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to software engineers, product owners, testers and others assigned.
- Improves, optimizes, and ensures continuous and timely adoptions of Software Development lifecycle processes and tools to match Gabriella White culture.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance the software systems to meet the business objectives and goals.
- Adopts, customizes, and teaches software teams and the stakeholders the agile project management techniques using Jira for all new and existing systems implementations.
- Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services to address business needs.
- Manages the integrations between various business applications to ensure the robustness and security of the data exchange.
- Collaborates with users, stakeholders, and IT cross functional teams (product owners, infrastructure, IT operations and data teams) to implement software systems and to accomplish department and organizational goals.
- Develops and maintains strong vendor relationships.
- Stays current with the industry trends, emerging technologies, evaluating their potential usefulness to solve organizational objectives, and recommend solutions.
- Tracks and reports on the key metrics on the software development effectiveness and business systems performance at the department and organizational levels.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT), Business Administration or related field; master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Eight or more years of experience in business systems analysis, software design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Three or more years of supervision experience leading a team of developers, product owners, testers, etc. including onsite, remote, offshore, contract workers and vendors.
- Five years of experience with technologies such as SQL, C#, GIT, Visual Studio, ASP.Net/.Net Core, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, Rest API, etc.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, inventory management, supply chain and logistics systems and other business systems generally deployed in manufacturing, distribution, and consumer products retail/online stores.
- Demonstrated project management skills using agile project management methodologies, techniques, and tools such as Jira.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CICD pipelines, and automation in code deployment and testing.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and attention to details skills.
- Ability to review and analyze complex written documents.
