What You Do

  • Prospects and builds a network for new business opportunities and referrals.
  • Develop sales leads within territory and follows up as needed identifying decision-makers amongst the targeted leads to start sales process.
  • Cooperates with Vice President of Sales - Wholesale to determine essential strategic approaches for increasing sales.
  • Negotiates sales deals with a great closing rate.
  • Attends sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation in assigned territory.
  • Handles cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicates the changes to the related departments.
  • Coordinates with customer service for status on orders from related departments to ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Keeps records of sales calls, contacts and meetings and reports regularly to Vice President of Sales Wholesale.
  • Attends industry conferences to develop industry expertise and to build network as well as staying on top of industry trends.

What You Bring

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three to four years’ proven experience in sales, preferably in high end furniture, apparel or other home furnishing or luxury goods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and drive for results.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and versed in cold-calling sales techniques.
  • Exceptional negotiating skills and high energy “can do!” attitude.
  • Demonstrated sales track record with high ratio of closing conversions.
  • Clean motor vehicle record.
