Job SummaryAs Director of the IT Business Office, you will play an integral role in running the "business" of IT. Managing all aspects of IT finance, headcount staffing, and IT communications.Reporting to the Vice President Product & PMO you will collaborate with key stakeholders including IT Leadership, Finance, Procurement and HR to effectively and efficiently handle the wide range of duties that come under the IT Business Office purview.Essential Duties

  • Partners with the CIO and IT Leadership in facilitating strategic vision and direction for the department. Defining, developing, and implementing department-wide strategic plans and objectives including cost saving and cost clean up efforts.
  • Directs and controls the activities of the IT Business Office. Including strategic planning & goal setting to set the strategic direction of the group.
  • Administration of the IT department’s budgeting process and financial tracking activities. Accountability for ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency in the reporting of key financial data and executing the financial planning and managerial processes of the IT department. Handling quarterly review of the budget with the CFO.
  • Administration of the cross-Opco technology chargeback budgeting process. Collaboration with key stakeholders on allocation methods, percentages, and amounts and tracking for annual true-up.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the handling of day-to-day IT Financial activities – account reconciliation, purchase orders, invoice processing and coding, leasing, IT Capital Funding requests, project financial tracking and change requests, ad hoc financial requests, etc. Collaborate with GAF Finance leadership on various IT financial-related topics.
  • Leading process changes and improvements in IT Financial Management as the organization transitions to SAP.
  • Accountability for planning, tracking, and reporting on employee and contractor headcount and collaborating with IT Leadership on organizational changes. Partner with HR Business Partner to address changes along with planning and executing the annual performance management process.
  • Oversee and administer the early career programs (IT Rotational and Summer Intern Programs.).
  • Administration of the ERP Implementation Program budgeting and financial tracking activities. Accountability for ensuring accuracy and transparency in the reporting of key financial data. Tracking capitalizable and non-capitalizable expenses with consistency.
  • Managing, developing, and executing the IT contract prioritization process - collaborating with the procurement team, championing the process with IT team members, and maintaining a consolidated inventory of IT vendors.
  • Managing, developing, and executing IT Process improvement. Focusing on defining, implementing, and continuously improving IT policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Providing leadership to and handling various cross-functional department-wide administrative duties, initiatives, and meetings along with internal IT communications.
  • Handling Ad hoc questions and requests for information including providing analysis and various financial reports.
  • Collaboration with IT team members at all levels and other functional areas (GAF Finance, Standard Finance, Standard Cyber, Procurement, HR, etc.)
  • Other special projects/duties as assigned.
  • Recruiting, motivating, and developing a superior staff. Effectively managing a team that is customer-focused, encouraging creativity, driving performance, and effectively developing and rewarding key performers.
  • Acts as a champion of change, leading the organizational changes required to create and sustain company capabilities.
Under This Roof We Require
  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, Finance Required
  • 12 years of related work experience in financial and budget management. Specific experience in IT budget management is required.
  • 7 years of leadership, management and supervisory work experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking/analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence Leaders and set/implement Strategy
  • Proven record of tracking and forecasting experience on all financial aspects of the business
