Summary
As a Senior Programmer Analyst (UNIX/C/Oracle Pro*C) at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. Your role in our mission
Develop your career as you support Gainwell’s focus on creating innovative, purpose-built technologies and solutions to deliver better health and human services outcomes.
- Codes, tests, documents and implements programs according to the specifications.
- Provides moderately complex to complex technical and production support to end-users.
- Participates in and conducts peer reviews as needed.
- Participates in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Reviews and analyses writing program specifications.
- Reviews design of programs of routine complexity and for basic enhancements to existing programs.
- Recommends changes to client software based on information such as client feedback, language changes and new technology.
- Works directly with the client.
What we're looking for
- 6 years of programming experience with C language, Shell Scripting, and Oracle Pro*C on UNIX and/or Linux.
- Any experience with Healthcare, Medicaid and Medicare systems is highly preferred.
- Experience with design principles and the end-to-end software development life cycle (analysis, problem-solving, design, creation, troubleshooting, testing).
- Strong knowledge of batch processing concepts and techniques, such as scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, etc.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
