Your role in our mission

  • Outstanding service delivery is one of Gainwell’s great strengths. Play a vital role in achieving that as we deliver better health and human services outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee claim operations to ensure Gainwell meets contractual obligations and client expectations.
  • Navigate complex relationships between delivery and client groups to ensure stronger client relationships
  • Create more satisfied clients by identifying service improvements
  • Implement Federal and State regulations related to claim/encounter processing
  • Support proposal teams to integrate new, enhanced and existing service offerings
  • Bolster our workforce by selecting and hiring employees to support your team; train them to enhance their performance, development and work products

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience in all facets of the claims payment lifecycle, including manual adjudication, system configuration and maintenance, quality, research and resolution, reporting, and coding.
  • A solid understanding of Claims systems, payment regulations, and Medicaid (with a strong preference to Indiana Medicaid)
  • Previous leadership experience in a healthcare claims environment
  • Familiarity with claim/encounter submissions from a Managed Care Organization
  • Strong executive presence and excellent written and oral communication skills to build relationships and interact with clients and team member
  • Skilled at managing a large, diverse portfolio of claims system enhancements and updates alongside an engaged regulatory client
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to deliver high-quality results to clients, helping to quickly problem-solve roadblocks to ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliant Electronic Data Interchange claim transactions

What you should expect in this role

  • Must be in Indianapolis, IN area
  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
    • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).
  • Health (medical, dental, vision) benefits start on day 1 of employment.
  • Company match 401K and other benefits available within months of starting.
  • Employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • Company provided computer for work use.
  • Hybrid position employees' Broadband Internet connections at home, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload . Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.

  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $93,400.00 - $133,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
