Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our 3 manufacturing facilities. The Controller will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and cash flow to ensure the company's financial health and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, inventory management, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making while ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls. This is a critical financial leadership role within our company, requiring a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can balance daily accounting operations with long-term financial planning. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage cost accounting, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and production cost tracking.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Implement and maintain ERP/accounting systems for accurate financial data management.
- Ensure tax compliance (sales tax, payroll tax, corporate tax) and coordinate with auditors.
- Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive cost efficiencies.
- lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferable in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Standard Cost experience, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
- Excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
