Job Title: Material Handling Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, organization, and teamwork to ensure that materials are managed effectively.

Material Handling & Movement:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming materials and supplies.
- Transport materials to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Ensure the accurate staging, loading, and unloading of products for shipment or production use.
- Inventory Control:
- Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records using inventory management systems.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory and shipments.
- Record and monitor daily Inventory transaction with Production and Shipping.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain various material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in safety training programs and report any unsafe practices.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
- Ensure accurate data entry in warehouse management systems.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material needs and inventory status.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Job Description is not limited to the listed activities, other duties and responsibilities will be assigned.
- General Warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Temporarily assigned to other departments to assist with workload and occasional down time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems or warehouse management software.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse or production facility setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and physical demands.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) .
