Position Summary
The Electronics Assembler II is responsible for the precise assembly, wiring, and testing of elevator control systems and related components. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure products meet quality and performance specifications.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in electrical assembly, control panel wiring, or related manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles, including AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Product Assembly & Testing:
• Assemble and wire elevator control panels, sub-assemblies, and components according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including mounting hardware, crimping, soldering, and wire routing.
• Test assembled units for proper functionality using diagnostic tools and standard testing procedures.
• Troubleshoot and correct wiring, assembly, and functional issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, inspections, and test results.
Safety & Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and manufacturing guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Provide feedback to improve assembly processes and ensure product quality.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and wiring tasks.
• Ability to distinguish colors for wiring purposes.
Work Environment
• Manufacturing facility with exposure to moderate noise levels.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on production demands.
