Bring your HVAC or technical installation experience to Galaxie Central Vacuum Systems! We are a small, family owned company that has been in business since 1964. We’re hiring a Central Vacuum System Installer who will be responsible for residential and commercial system installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Our ideal candidate has experience in HVAC, mechanical installations, or a similar field and is comfortable reading blueprints and working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Perform professional installation of central vacuum systems in both residential and commercial environments
- Technical Expertise: Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions to execute precise installations
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in systems, ensuring timely and effective repairs
- Safety & Standards: Ensure all installations comply with safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices
- Client Interaction: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, explaining the installation process and addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed
- Tools & Equipment: Maintain and organize tools, ensuring proper function and safety at all times
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience with central vacuum systems, HVAC, or similar technical installations is strongly preferred
- Ability to understand blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on various job sites
- Physically capable of handling installation tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in tight spaces
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel to job sites required)
