Overview:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the overall management and operation of the hotel. The role ensures the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and financial profitability while fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and other departments.
- Ensure smooth execution of all hotel services, maintaining high service quality standards.
- Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the General Manager.
Guest Experience:
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback, ensuring timely resolution of complaints and concerns.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction at every touchpoint.
- Foster relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and positive reviews.
Staff Leadership and Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and support department heads and team members.
- Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff.
- Promote a positive work culture and teamwork among all departments.
Financial Performance:
- Assist in monitoring and managing budgets, expenses, and revenue goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Analyze financial performance reports and recommend adjustments as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and implement safety procedures for employees and guests.
Strategic Planning and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the General Manager in formulating business strategies and goals.
- Assist in developing and executing promotional campaigns to drive occupancy and revenue.
- Identify opportunities to enhance market positioning and brand image.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).- Marriott Experience- MGS Expert.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
