Job Summary:
The Vice President of Clinical Operations (VP of Clinical Operations) is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and operational management of clinical services across all Galerie Management communities. This role ensures that all clinical operations, including resident care, resident assessments, and overall healthcare services, comply with regulatory requirements and meet the highest quality standards. The VP of Clinical Operations will drive clinical excellence, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure superior resident care and satisfaction. This candidate must be a Registered Nurse, Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner with substantial experience in healthcare management within senior living or long-term care settings preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices across all communities.
- Provide clinical leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring alignment with Galerie Manageent’s mission and resident-centered care philosophy.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to create strategies that enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure all clinical operations meet regulatory standards, including state and federal regulations for senior living communities.
- Lead accreditation, licensing, and compliance initiatives, ensuring facilities maintain the highest levels of compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop and monitor quality assurance programs and participate in regular audits to ensure continuous improvement in clinical care delivery.
Staff Management and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and support clinical teams, including Wellness Director’s, ensuring high-performance standards and professional growth. Including stepping into these roles when necessary.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and professional development of clinical staff to ensure appropriate skill levels and staffing ratios.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and resident-focused care.
Resident Care and Satisfaction:
- Ensure that care plans are developed and executed effectively, with an emphasis on personalizing care to meet each resident's needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote holistic and coordinated resident care services, addressing physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Monitor and address resident and family feedback, ensuring issues related to care quality are resolved promptly and effectively.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to manage clinical budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of care while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize operational efficiencies and reduce unnecessary costs without compromising care quality.
Risk Management:
- Develop and manage clinical risk management programs to minimize potential liabilities and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Analyze clinical incident reports and trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risk and improve overall clinical safety.
Qualifications:
Education:
Registered Nurse, Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner license required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of clinical leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare-related settings.
- Proven track record of leading clinical operations in multi-site or regional healthcare environments.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations affecting senior living communities.
