Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Respite Companions to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide essential companionship and non-medical support to individuals whose primary caregivers need temporary relief. This is a meaningful opportunity for compassionate individuals who enjoy helping others and want to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer companionship and engage clients in conversation, games, or hobbies to promote mental stimulation.
- Provide temporary relief to family caregivers by ensuring their loved ones are safe, calm, and well-attended during their absence.
- Assist with basic non-medical daily activities such as:
- Light meal preparation
- Tidying up living spaces
- Medication reminders (non-administration)
- Offer emotional support and companionship, helping clients maintain a positive attitude and dignity.
- Monitor the client’s environment to ensure safety and comfort.
- Escort clients to appointments or outings when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or companionship roles is a plus
- Reliable, patient, and genuinely compassionate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to pass background checks and required screenings
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job (e.g., standing, walking, occasional lifting)
- Willing to travel throughout any of the 113 townships and boroughs within the five-county region
- Open availability or flexible scheduling highly desirable
