Job Summary
As part of Washer Maintenance, responsible for maintaining parts washers throughout the shop. This includes pump outs, refills, mechanical repairs, and documentation. Washers are on a strict cleaning schedule and part cleanliness throughout various processes is very important. As part of Wastewater, operate Waste Water Treatment system. The system processes oily water from the washers and fluids from the phosphate line. This may include but not limited to running backwashes, cleaning filter presses, and filter changes. As part of maintenance, perform typical shop maintenance. This may include but not limited to routine lighting/electrical repairs, plumbing and pipe fitting, pump repairs, fabrication. Job is performed in a machine shop environment, requiring heavy physical effort under dirty working conditions.

Duties
- Operation of overhead crane and forklift’s
- Unload flatbed semi-trucks
- Document control skills
- Operation of chip spinning machines and maintain gravity drain hoppers.
- Maintains preventative maintenance duties and maintains documentation.
- Performs any maintenance related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements, Education, Skills
- Two – Four years’ experience driving a forklift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.
