Overview
Are you passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to drive better business outcomes? If so, Gallagher Basset is seeking a dynamic professional like you! Reporting to the Manager of CRM Strategy, the Salesforce Lead Administrator will spearhead ongoing Salesforce enhancements and user engagements, serving as a key player in transforming how we use Salesforce to support critical operations and deliver measurable business impact.
In this role, you will draw on your expertise in technical project management, Salesforce administration, and business analysis. By partnering with team members across the organization, you will streamline processes, provide user training, and implement significant solutions that align with our business objectives.
How you'll make an impact
- Serve as the primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 700 users.
- Support other Salesforce administrators with user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.
- Collaborate with senior team members to analyze business requirements and translate them into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
- Lead training initiatives for new users and boost the organization's abilities in using Salesforce.com.
- Act as the liaison between users and the application development teams.
- Work independently with members of the user community to define and outline development requirements.
- Lead and optimize business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain and update product and pricebook information within Salesforce.
- Demonstrate experience in user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules.
- Understand Salesforce configuration changes, including Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.
- Innovate and develop creative solutions to complex problems, continuously seeking opportunities to improve and enhance the Salesforce platform.
About You
Required:
- Minimum two years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator.
- Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certification preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to develop and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
- Proven understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
- Proven understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
- Strong data management abilities.
- A detailed history of successfully driving projects to completion.
- Ability to effectively understand and articulate complex requirements.
- Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude.

- Be a motivator for positive change by implementing solutions that drive efficiency, improve user experience, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Developing innovative solutions in a creative manner, such as customizing Salesforce features, integrating new tools, or re-engineering processes to better align with business goals.
- Actively seeking out problems or inefficiencies within the Salesforce platform and related business processes, understanding the needs and pain points of users and stakeholders.
