How you'll make an impact
Job Description:
- Provides producers, client service teams, and clients with timely and accurate analyses of legislation and regulations as they affect health and welfare plans and related employer obligations.
- Offers well-researched information and recommendations leading clients to take appropriate actions to conform with compliance obligations. Implements annual compliance goals for the region and division.
- Provides assistance with new projects as well as day-today activities.
- Interprets source materials and provides guidance and advice to corporate staff as well as branch office staff.
- Assists producers and client service teams in developing appropriate action steps to assure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Conducts internal employee training on selected legislative and regulatory topics.
- Supplies prototype information summaries, compliance checklists, and other consulting tools needed to support producers, client service teams, and clients.
- Support compliance help desk as necessary to answer questions regarding compliance issues.
- Deliver assistance in drafting, editing, and producing any newsletters, technical bulletins, and presentations.
- Oversees organization, updates, and maintenance of compliance materials and makes them accessible to employees.
- Evaluates potential new legislative and regulatory information and makes recommendations for changes to existing materials.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years related experience required.
- Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, cafeteria plans, nondiscrimination rules, HIPAA, and other federal, legal and regulatory issues.
- Preferred: Juris Doctorate desired.
