Project Manager

Gallagher Construction Services, now a Cumming Group company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can travel within a region in west Texas. This region includes Kermit, Wink & Sierra Blanca, TX.

Our team provides construction management services for publicly funded projects. This position will have an emphasis on project management and project engineering procedures. This is a “team player” role and each person on the team has a willingness to help with anything. See key responsibilities below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Performs project support duties as assigned by the Project and Construction Manager

· The assigned duties will vary depending on the project requirements but will generally be aligned with construction management functions

· Tracks and updates progress schedules

· Creates daily logs as directed

· Processes and tracks submittal packages

· Processes Contract Change Orders and maintain Change Order log.

· Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with Project Manager.

· Processes and tracks Requests for Information (RFI).

· Manages and updates project logs

· Coordination of vendors with field contractors

· Assists in facilitating the bidding process with contractors

· Processes and tracks Contractor Contracts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Knowledgeable of general construction procedures, process and tasks.

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable dealing with a wide range of personality types.

· Attention to detail and ability to effectively track complicated tasks involving many parties to timely completion

· Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Project and Outlook and Primavera/Expedition/Submittal Exchange a plus.

· Able to multi-task on a regular basis without becoming distracted or overwhelmed.

· Able to work efficiently on a self-directed basis with minimal supervision.

· Knowledgeable of general construction procedures, process and tasks.

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable dealing with a wide range of personality types.

· BS degree in construction management or related course of study
