Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the accounting department, primarily supporting the payroll function.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Essential Duties/Responsibilities include some or all of the following:
- Oversee the timekeeping and job costing system to ensure accurate and timely collection of data for payroll processing.
- Assist with preparation of monthly union reports and annual union audits
- Enter new hires, process updates and terminate employees in the timekeeping and payroll systems
- Assist controller with special projects
- Enter payroll data and process payroll
- Maintain accurate records
- Support the overall accounting department and the other employees on the team
- Regular attendance at work is an essential job duty.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Conform to company Quality, Environmental, and Safety policies, any environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements such as permits to operate

Education, Experience, and Training:
Education: An accounting or finance degree is preferred, not required
Experience: 5 years of payroll experience is required, preferably with union experience. Multiple business unit payroll processing experience is required.
