The Opportunity
Gallagher Sharp LLP is actively recruiting a motivated attorney to join the firm's Cleveland office as part of our Business and Employment practice group. This role offers an exceptional pathway to lead and strategically grow our Business and Employment practice group, helping shape its future direction and expansion within the firm. This position also provides a great opportunity for a qualified candidate to join a team of well-respected and highly skilled trial attorneys.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience practicing in state and federal courts
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Licensure in both Ohio and Michigan strongly preferred
- A demonstrated work ethic and commitment to excellence, including a history of meeting strict deadlines and managing multiple complex cases simultaneously.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in employment law matters including discrimination claims, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and workplace investigations.
- Demonstrated experience handling business litigation including contract disputes, shareholder/partner conflicts, trade secret matters, and non-compete enforcement.
- Experience in conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, interacting with expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice.
- Experience advising business clients on risk management, employment policies, and regulatory compliance.
