Overview

As a HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Gallagher, you will play a critical role in connecting with our South-Central Region’s internal leaders to drive our corporate strategy, enhance staffing solutions, manage people effectively, and support growth and revenue goals. Your primary responsibilities will include performance management and ensuring business alignment within the region. You will also be a key contributor in supporting the company's M&A activities, from due diligence through integration.

Key Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with regional leaders to understand the organization's business objectives and develop HR strategies that align with the corporate vision.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Play a vital role in M&A activities, participating in due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger support, while helping to harmonize the culture and policies of acquired companies with the organization.
  • Staffing and Talent Management: Lead efforts to ensure the right talent is in place to support business needs, including recruitment, onboarding, and talent development and job alignment of internal resources
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management programs, providing guidance and support to enhance employee performance, career development, and engagement, including annual promotion, performance review, and compensation processes.
  • Training: Partner with internal leaders to identify existing talent gaps within internal employees and deliver skills based training to upskill accordingly
  • Business Alignment: Promote alignment between business units and HR initiatives, ensuring that HR practices support organizational goals.
  • Employee Relations: Management of employee relations issues (either directly or in conjunction with the specialist employee relations team) such as disciplinary, grievances, employee litigation, redundancy and terminations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments within the company, including finance operations and other HR Centers of Excellence to address complex HR issues and ensure a holistic approach to HR support.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR practices are in compliance with federal and state regulations and proactively address any potential risks.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage data and analytics to assess HR programs and make data-driven decisions to improve employee and business outcomes.

Qualifications

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years in an HRBP or similar role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in successfully supporting M&A activities and driving organizational change.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
  • 10-20% travel expected within assigned territory.
