Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction Columbia, SC
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of civil construction estimating experience with an emphasis on heavy civil, site work, utilities, drainage systems, and roads.

Four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management is a plus - will consider Associates or partial degree with some experienceExperience working for a general contractor as an estimator bidding on site worksExperience in estimating grading and utilities (typical projects are site development, industrial, commercial development, utilities, mining reclamation, overburden removal and general site workEstimating projects that will typically range from 500K to 10 million dollarsEstimating self-performed work and pricing the labor, equipment, and material costsWorking knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phasesAbility to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawingsAbility to produce detailed, final contract estimatesAbility to assess site exposures / construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimateAbility to identify constructability issues through the estimating processAbility to identify value-engineering alternativesAbility to work as a teamAbility to read, write and communicate effectively with Clients, Engineers, etcMust be proficient in Excel, Word, and AdobeMust have experience with Agtek, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, Cad or any other takeoff / modeling softwareWork Experience on Bid2Win (B2W) Heavy Bid (HCSS)or similarTravel within SC, NC, and GA may be required
Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
